RFID

Radio Frequency Identification, or commonly known as RFID is one method of automatic identification and data capture / collection (AIDC). RFID uses radio frequency waves to transfer data between an interrogator/reader and movable or stationary items to identify, categorize and track them wirelessly. It may operate at a location several hundred meters away from the RFID reader as tags do not need to be in the line of sight of the reader.
